An extensive low-pressure complex has established itself over wide parts of Europe and in this complex persistently cold polar air can push far southward. This push will be accompanied by a disturbance influence which will repeatedly bring precipitation to the north side of the Alps due to a wind shift to northwest. The snow line will be in the low areas of the valleys, it may only temporarily slightly increase around next midweek. The wintry weather conditions will prevail again at the beginning of next week, further snowfalls will hit especially the north side of the Alps.
