Bike Transport by Public Bus

Free bicycle transport with the valley-wide bus line

In the summer, bikers can take full advantage of an extra service. All bus lines in from Imst/Haiming to Obergurgl and back are equipped with special bicycle transport trailers. The bus stops are marked with the bicycle symbol and with a valid bus ticket the bicycle transport is free of charge. Please notice that the safe loading and unloading of the bicycles are only possible at the marked bus stops. Advance booking is recommended if you are a bigger group.

Also E-bikes are carried on the marked public buses equipped with bicycle trailers. Important: Due to the heavy weight of E-bikes the bus driver is not responsible for loading and unloading the bicycles – The cyclists have to load/unload their bikes themselves! No liability is assumed by the Transportation Company for damages resulting from the use of the bus.

Bicycle transport is free of charge for holders of a valid bus ticket!
Please watch out for the „Ötztal Line“ (Haiming / Imst – Obergurgl) bicycle bus stops marked with the bicycle symbol (Fahrradsymbol einfügen). At these selected stops you can load and unload your bicycle and e-bike safely.

Advance Reservation of Bicycle Transport and Large Groups
For the transport of 5 bicycles at the same time on a marked bicycle bus or for large groups of 15+ persons an advance reservation is absolutely required by contacting the respective bus line company:
ÖBB Postbus GmbH T+43 (0)512 3903 90 or
Ötztaler Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH T +43 (0)5254 3550

Special tip for families:
Start your cycle tour in Sölden, pedaling on a slightly descending trail towards Längenfeld.
Simply follow the signs "Ötztal Radweg / Ötztal Cycle Trail" (11) starting at Freizeit Arena.
Road overpasses and comfortable underpasses take you and all the family safely to Längenfeld off the busy main road.
A stop at the Fun Park in Huben is definitely worth it. A splendid family outing by bicycle, suitable for all ages and preferences!

You and your family can effortlessly travel back to Sölden by public bus line as the buses are equipped with measure-made bicycle trailers.
At these selected bus stops (for example: bus stop "Edelweiß / Abzw. Gries" or bus stop "Aqua Dome / Längenfeld") you can load and unload your bicycle and e-bike safely.
