FAQ

Mandatory FFP2 face mask:

  • Children from the age of 6 to the age of 14 may also wear a very tight-fitting mechanical protective device that covers the entire nose and mouth area.
  • Children that still have not turned 6 do not need a face mask.

Proof of low epidemiological risk must be provided by all persons over the age of 12 by presenting one of the following proofs:

1. VACCINATED

The EU-compliant vaccination certificate, the yellow vaccination pass, a vaccination card and a printout or PDF (for example on the mobile phone) of data available in the e-vaccination pass are valid as proof of vaccination.

Immunization with two vaccination doses:
  • After receiving the second vaccination, the vaccination certificate is valid for 360 days (from 06 Dec: 270 days) and at least 14 days must have passed between the two vaccinations.
Immunization with only one vaccination:
  • From the 22nd day after vaccination with a vaccine approved with only one dose, the vaccination certificate is valid for 270 days.
Important note: Vaccination certificates for one dose of Janssen lose their validity on 03 January 2022. Therefore, a second dose is absolutely required no earlier than 14 days after the first dose in order to continue to receive a valid vaccination certificate.
Immunization through vaccination of recovered persons:
  • If a positive molecular biological test (PCR test) was available at least 21 days before the vaccination or evidence of neutralizing antibodies is already available at the time of vaccination, the vaccination certificate is valid for 360 days from the time of the first vaccination with an officially approved vaccine (from 06 Dec: 270 days)
Further vaccinations ("3rd dose"):
  • After receiving a further vaccination, the validity period of the vaccination certificate is again 360 days (from 06 Dec: 270 days).
There must be at least 14 days between this vaccination and an immunization in which only one vaccination is required. All other vaccination schedules have a period of at least 120 days between the vaccination doses.

2. RECOVERED
  • A recovery certificate is valid for 180 days.
  • A written medical certificate is valid for 180 days after an infection with SARS-CoV-2. The infection must have been proven by a molecular biological test (for example: PCR test).
  • An official separation notice issued by the authorities is also valid for 180 days.

  • Valid as proof of 2 must-haves from 15 November:
    • Vaccination
    • Certificate of recovery
    • Separation notice
  • NOT valid:
    • Tests (antigen test, PCR test, ...)
    • Proof of neutralizing antibodies

For people who have already received the 1st dose but not yet the 2nd dose of Corona vaccination, there is a period of transition until 06 December 2021.
In such a case, proof of vaccination for the 1st dose together with a current PCR test (max. 72 hours old), is accepted as valid 2 must-haves proof. However, a note in the Green Pass is not possible.

  • Children up to the age of 12 are exempt from the obligation to present a valid 2 must-haves/3 must-haves certificate.
  • For children of school age (up to the 9th grade completed), the "Corona Test Pass" (for example: Ninja Pass in Austria) replaces the 2 must-haves/3 must-haves certificate.
  • After completing the 9th year of school, also young people need a 2 must-haves/3 must-haves certificate.
